I really want to embrace the Fediverse and use it instead of the "Big Tech" alternatives, but some days I just have to shake my head. For the past several days my feed has been suffering from a famine - it looks like the photo above. No pictures, no comments, nothing. Just flashing boxes that refuse to load (even after leaving the page for over an hour). And, of course, since the whole site is run out of dansup's basement, there's no tech support and no one to report it to. So instead I'm left to rant about it here, where no one is going to care (or even see it).
If we want to put pressure on Meta, X, and TikTok to respect our rights, we really have to do better than this.
